Ransomware, a form of malicious software, poses a grave threat to digital security worldwide. Utilized by cybercriminals to extort money, steal data, and disrupt business, it encrypts or restricts access to a victim's data or computer system, demanding a ransom, often in cryptocurrency, for decryption or access restoration.
